Design and Product Development Internship

Location: NYC
Internship Type: Full-Time & Part-Time Available (Minimum 3 Days per Week)
Compensation: School Credit Only (Unpaid – No Stipend)

Overview

Adam Lippes is looking for talented, motivated students to assist the Product Development and Design teams. Our interns gain hands-on experience by supporting both teams and the in-house atelier, gaining exposure to all aspects of the brand. Our samples and production for woven are made in NYC's Garment District.

Responsibilities

‧ Assist the team at fittings.
‧ Source and distribute trims and fabrics.
‧ Maintain an organized workspace.
‧ Assist in styling, photoshoots, and shows.
‧ Update line sheets.
‧ Assist with cut tickets.
‧ Maintain design/style boards.
‧ Research embroidery and dyeing techniques.
‧ Cut fabrics.
‧ Copy patterns.
‧ Create trim bags.
‧ Visit factories to check on protos and samples.
‧ Keep inventories of trims and fabrics.

Requirements

‧ A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm are key.
‧ Must currently live in the NYC area and be majoring in fashion design or a related field.
‧ Must be eligible for school credit or OPT (this is an unpaid internship).
‧ Knowledge of RLM is preferred but not required.
‧ Must be detail-oriented with a can-do attitude.
‧ Pattern-making and sewing skills are a plus.
